Dear Parents/ Carers - Term 5

Another busy term ahead for our Robins. Our big question this term is: What is it like to live on a farm?

We are going to be exploring what life is like on a farm, for both animals and the people who work there. We will learn about how farms work, what jobs you can do, and how wild animals can live alongside farm animals.

English and Maths

Our English lessons will be linked to our topic as usual. We will be writing directions to get around a farm, as well as writing our own farmyard walk stories.

In maths, we will be learning about multiplication and division and then moving onto fractions before finishing with geometry; using our outdoor areas as much as possible!

Other Subjects

Science: Plants

Art/DT: Giant farm collages

RE: Judaism

PSHE: Keeping us safe – people who we can rely on

PE sessions will take place on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings. PE lessons will be taking place outside as well as in the hall. This year we will be reverting back to children getting changed in school so please ensure your child has PE kit available for the days mentioned above. Children will also need to bring a water bottle to school as we will take this outside on the days of our PE lessons.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or catch me at the door to arrange a meeting.

*We will be spending lots of time outside, whatever the weather! Could you please send a pair of welly boots into school for the children to keep in the classroom. Please also ensure they have a warm waterproof coat.
