Resources for this week beginning Monday 29th June:
Hi year 6,
How are you all? I hope you had a super week last week and enjoyed the beautiful weather (being sensible with sun safety and social distancing of course!). It really has felt like being on holiday in another country - I hope that we have another week of the same!
It was lovely seeing some of you in school and I hope to see the rest of you very soon at our leavers picnic we are in the process of organising. It will be great to see each other again and say goodbye before you head off for the summer and secondary school in September (whatever that may look like at the moment).
For this week’s home learning, we are still continuing with our mountains topic which I hope you are enjoying, as well as the transition lessons on Friday. We are now in our final few weeks of Primary School so how does that feel? There are going to be a lot of changes that you will experience over the next few months and you might not know how to deal with these changes. Like I mentioned last week, I am here to support you as much as possible to ensure that you are ready for September. This week's transition looks at how to develop some skills on how to manage some of these changes. You are on the way for new challenges and experiences. Don’t be afraid of failure, you learn from these experiences. I hope you were able to sign up to Numerise last week too as it really is good preparation for Secondary.
Again, well done to those who are keeping up with Times Table Rock Stars and practising a lot. I did see this week that a 10 year old boy called Nadub has got the Guiness World Record title for achieving the highest score achieved on TTRS - 196 correct answers in 1 minute!!!
Keep smiling everyone and have a fabulous week!
